About Me

I am a university professor at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in Indonesia. I received a Fulbright Doctoral Scholarship to Study in the USA in 2009 and finished my Ph.D. in Management at Rutgers University (Rutgers Business School) in 2015. Right after, I returned to Indonesia and have ever since been involved in the world of international education, international partnerships, international relations, international collaboration, and the likes. I am generally an introvert who is tasked to deal with a lot of different types of audience (particularly students and collaboration partners from around the world), as such experiences allow me to learn, grow, and reflect on myself. In my work, I get to travel a lot and learn from the experiences. I enjoy taking pictures of the beautiful, the broken, the forgotten, and everything in between. I have a passion for writing, storytelling, and making a bridge (metaphysically speaking).

After finishing my master's degree, I became married in 2009 and have two kids from my marriage (one born in 2010 and the other in 2017). I live in Bandung (Indonesia) and are open to traveling for the right reasons. Based on my DNA test, in terms of my ethnicity estimate, I am predominantly Southeast Asian (50.7% "Filipino, Indonesian, and Malay" and 46.1% "Thai and Cambodian"), with some Eastern European backgrounds (2.1% "Baltic" and 1.1% East European).
